Curriculum Assistance Class
Curriculum Assistance
During this class students will use their time to ask questions on homework, work on their educational goals, discuss career and high school transitioning, and complete or review make up work. Time may also be used to review for tests/quizzes, discuss select topics, and for extra practice on curriculum content. It is also my goal to have students write a brief review on the work that they did in their classes for the week and post it on my blog.
Rules
Students are expected to follow all of the 8th grade rules and participate in the PBS program.
Homework
A large part of the student grade is made up with completion of homework assignments. Assignments due for homework are posted on my board and they will also be written in the agenda. You may also check the individual teacher sites to find this information. Homework will be monitored on a regular basis.
Class Participation
Students will have several opportunites to discuss classwork and content with eachother. During these open sessions I expect students to discuss or contribute something to the class. If they do not contribute they will still be given points for working on other assignments(as long as they are working).
Journal
Students will have a journal which is kept in the classroom that will have a daily question. The question could be on any of the content that was learned during the day. If they get 3 out of 5 questions right, they may earn extra credit. They are expected to write in complete sentences to receive credit.
